50% Profits to Charity
The founding value of Special Needs Life Services is to contribute 50% of profits to charity in an effort to create a better future for disabled individuals. This is something I’ve wanted to do for a long time and with this new venture, it has finally come to fruition.
When we say “50% of profits” we mean the residual amount after business expenses are deducted from the income derived from the sale of our services and products through Special Needs Life Services. Put simply, if the company’s revenue for 2017 was $100,000 and the business expenses were $20,000, the profit would be $80,000, of which $40,000 would go to charity.
We anticipate that the majority of the charities would serve the intellectually/developmentally disabled population. There may be small reserves set aside to pay for future pledges, but in all cases reserve funds must be used for charitable purposes.
Our hope and expectation is to be able to assist many individuals who are less fortunate than we are.
